Mental Health Matter was not born from a business plan or a marketing strategy. It was born from pain — from watching someone we loved change before our eyes, and not understanding why.
In our family, we watched our mother — a strong, beautiful and deeply caring woman — slowly become someone we did not recognize. She became confused, withdrawn, aggressive and lost. For a long time we did not know what was happening. We did not have a name for it. We did not know the signs. And by the time we found the right diagnosis, precious time had already passed.
That experience changed everything for us. It showed us how dangerous a lack of awareness can be. And it gave us a mission.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that mental health is not a luxury. It is not a western concept. It is not something to be ashamed of or hidden behind closed doors.
Mental health affects every family — regardless of culture, language, religion or background. It affects our mothers and fathers, our children, our siblings and ourselves. And yet in so many communities around the world, it is still the topic nobody talks about.
We started Mental Health Matter to change that — one article, one story and one family at a time.
